The Opportunity
As an Environmental Consultant, you’ll play an important role in delivering contaminated site investigations and environmental projects across Western Australia. Working alongside experienced technical leaders, you’ll take increasing responsibility for project delivery, client communication, field programs, data interpretation, and technical reporting.
This role offers exposure to a diverse range of contaminated land projects, providing opportunities to develop your technical expertise while building the commercial, project management, and leadership skills needed to progress your consulting career.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and undertaking contaminated site investigations and environmental sampling programs.
- Managing fieldwork activities, subcontractors, and site logistics.
- Analysing and interpreting environmental data and preparing technical reports.
- Supporting project planning, budgeting, and delivery.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Contributing to assessment, remediation, risk assessment, and due diligence projects.
- Mentoring graduates and supporting the development of junior team members.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated consultant who enjoys solving complex environmental challenges and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 2 to 5 years’ experience in contaminated land consulting.
- Experience planning and undertaking contaminated site investigations and environmental sampling programs.
- Strong technical reporting and data interpretation skills.
- A sound understanding of relevant WA contaminated sites legislation, DWER guidelines, and national frameworks.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; GIS experience is desirable.
- A current driver’s licence and Australian working rights.
