Mark Shepherd
Managing Director/Manager Waste & Special Projects
Mark is the founder of Aurora Environmental. Previously he was W.A. General Manager for a multi-national consultancy, where he managed six different businesses with a staff of over 400 people and a turnover of $100 million.
Renee San Martin
Director/General Manager
Renee is responsible for day-to-day operations of Aurora Environmental and has been an integral member of the business since its inception in 2011. She is an inquisitive and adaptive problem solver with proven skills in delivering operational outcomes.
Paul Zuvela
Director/EIA Manager
Paul’s expertise is in EIA across various sectors including land development, infrastructure and mining. He has a thorough understanding of issues related to managing flora, vegetation, fauna, wetlands, drainage, coastal and riverine environments, as well as statutory obligations and approvals processes.
Brad Dermody
Director/Principal Environmental Scientist
Brad applies his broad technical skills and experience to provide risk-based, cost effective and tailored solutions to contaminated site assessment, remediation and management projects. Brad is also a WA DWER Accredited Contaminated Site Auditor.
Greg Milner
Director/Principal Scientist – Contaminated Land
Greg has worked in most fields of the environmental sector with a primary focus on site contamination assessment and remediation. His competency, cooperative approach and ability to form productive working relationships are valued by clients. His particular experience is within brownfields projects.
Stephen Patmore
Contaminated Sites Manager/Senior Environmental Scientist
Stephen has been working as an environmental consultant specialising in contaminated sites since 2011 and has been with Aurora Environmental since 2016 and currently manages our Contaminated Sites team. Stephen has a specific interest in being able to identify and pragmatically address environmental risks for clients whilst being mindful of financial / commercial and legal liabilities when developing outcomes-based project strategies.
Bryony Frith
Office Manager
Bryony has numerous years’ experience in business administration, project management and leadership. She has a passion for identifying processes which enable efficiency and simplicity whilst maintaining a high standard of quality output and delivering optimum level support.
Rachel Middlecoat
Senior Accounts Administrator
Rachel has over 20 years’ experience in Administration and Accounts. Working in various fast paced, multi-faceted changing environments. She has been with Aurora Environmental since 2018, in that time she has honed her finance knowledge to become our Senior Accounts Administrator.
Melanie Price
Principal Environmental Scientist
Melanie has extensive experience in strategic environmental planning for natural resource management, including risk assessment related to climate change, impact assessment for development, and facilitating community consultation.
Steve Miller
Senior Associate Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Sites
Steve has comprehensive contaminated sites experience through delivering small to large-scale multi-disciplinary investigation, remedial and decommissioning projects across a variety of industries in public and private sectors. Steve uses this experience to provide cost-effective, pragmatic solutions for technically challenging projects.
Caitlin Hewitt
Associate Environmental Scientist – EIA
Caitlin is experienced at providing environmental advice to proponents in order to achieve environmental approvals for projects. She has worked on projects in the mining, industrial/waste, transport infrastructure, agriculture, oil and gas sectors for a range of clients.
Marni Baetge
Associate Environmental Scientist
Marni has extensive experience in environmental impact assessment, approvals and compliance and provides specialised technical advice to solve various complex environmental issues. Marni has worked in the public and private sectors and has project managed multiple small and large scale multi-disciplinary projects.
