Environmental and waste management policy
COMMITMENT
Aurora Environmental located at Dilhorn House 2 Bulwer Street Perth carries out environmental and occupational health & safety consulting services. Aurora Environmental believes that effective environmental and waste management is an integral part of well-managed operations. We commit, where possible, to continual improvement in our environmental performance and to re-use, recycle or dispose of safely all waste generated by the organisation. Drawing on our experience we will strive to lead by example, promoting environmental leadership and driving sustainable outcomes in our operations, in our client organisations and in our community.
OBJECTIVES
Environmental Management
We will endeavour to avoid environmental impacts resulting from our operations and to demonstrate environmental leadership to our clients. Specifically we will:
- Constantly endeavour to reduce our energy usage;
- Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements relating to our direct environmental aspects;
- Identify and monitor potential significant environmental impacts;
- Regularly review and report on our environmental management and performance;
- Openly communicate our environmental and waste management policy to our employees, contractors and clients; and
- Assess our suppliers and contractors, as part of our approved supplier process, to ensure they also meet high standards of environmental management and performance.
- Waste Management
Where opportunities arise we will reduce our waste and strive towards sending zero waste to landfill by implementing avoidance practices, re-use and recovery practices and recycling and disposal practices.
APPLICATION
Accountability for the application of this policy rests with the General Manager and implementation of this policy rests with all employees of Aurora Environmental.
REVIEW
This policy will be reviewed annually by the management team.
